Jarhead Review

Ah Jarhead. What a loser. I'm glad I went to the matinee. This was definately NOT what I call a "War" movie. I really need to watch some John Wayne or something. It will probably win all kinds of awards since films are moving to this no ending, real life, find meaning in the mundane kind of genre. Well, I think it sucks. Give me Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, NARNIA!!! The best part of the movie was Jamie Foxx saying, "oo-rah." Yep, saw that on the preview. Save your money. If you must see it, wait for the dvd, rent it, and see how long you watch. My rating of Jarhead: ah-looooooo-zerrrrrrr. oo-rah.

Jarhead?? Who made that movie? What a peice of junk. Don't spend your time to see it. Its not worth it. I would rather clean our garbage cans. I am a X Marine and this is nothing like it. Not even a war movie . Rate it Looser.

It's sad, all of you close-minded ignorant people fail to grasp the purpose of this movie. Jarhead is not an action type war movie. Read the book, Swoff might have written 5 pages about the little combat he was involved in. This movie depicts how the Marine Corps and being stuck in a desert affects a person mentally. Jarhead also gives a slight insight to what it might be like to be in the Marines during the Desert Storm era. Jarhead is not a movie for everyone, apparently simple minds cannot comprehend it's message.

The movie was crap. By the way Zack, people do see the message. The message was a worthless one. As if we did not know war caused mental trauma. This movie is another liberal approach to tarnish the United States. The movie was filled with anti negative US messages in every other scene. Again, this movie was crap.

"This was definately NOT what I call a "War" movie." ...yes, he completely understands the message, considering Jarhead is not meant a typical war movie. This isn't a Black Hawk Down, which I considered awful. I thought it was entertaining, to see the psychological perspective of war, rather than physical aspects, which is popular throughout every other movie made about war. I guess some people's attention spands/interest are diminished with out the blood and gore.
